Shukri's Girlfriend

Shukri has a good friend called Siqi (Coco) back in his old school at Learning Seeds. Unfortunately we did not manage to get her phone number before he left the school. After 3 months in the new school..he still thinks of Siqi & at times will say he is going to marry her when he grows up.

On Saturday, 8 April, we met Siqi & her family in Suntec. What a coincidence! Siqi's father held the lift for us in the carpark. Siqi immediately hid behind her Mother when she saw Shukri. While the parents chatted, Shukri & Sadiq went to hide in the LG Shop so the kids did not talk at all. Sigh. Hope he will outgrow his shyness.

As for Sadiq, his old girlfriend is Sarah, an Amercian-born Chinese with big round eyes. Though she stays at Bukit Panjang, we have yet to meet them. We leave it up to fate.

God & Daddy

We have been telling the children that God knows everything that you do, so you are not to lie or do any naughty things etc etc. So here are few examples of their funny comments.

Example 1:
One day after Gulam answered one of their many "why" questions:
Sadiq asked "Papa, why do you know everything?"
So Papa answered "Because I am Papa, Papa knows eveything."
Sadiq: "Are you God?"


Example 2:
Sadiq: "Papa, why does God knows everything?"
Before Gulam can answer, Shukri said :"I know, I know...God has a camera."

On Sunday, 2 April 2006, Shukri & Sadiq both decided that they would like to become pilots when they grow up. (Actually it was Shukri who decided first -- Sadiq merely copied his brother-- as usual). So they asked what daddy & mommy would like to be when they grow up (we tried to explain that we have grown up but they insisted for an answer). Anyway, it was decided that daddy will become a taxi driver to pick them up whenever they fly into town & mommy will fly with them on their flights. Lucky mommy!!

Well we have decided to set up a blog for Shukri & Sadiq to record snippets on their comments/conversations that they may be interested to know in future...so here goes..:
