I gave the boys a dressing down last Sunday because they did not remember my instructions..The main point was that they have to listen to Mummy.

Anyway Shukri asked me this funny question on Sunday night while we were on the way home from Nenek's.

Shukri : Mummy, do you always listen to Ah-ma when u were young.
Me: Of course. (Quite loudly)
Shukri : I thought you said your eyes are spoilt because you lie down & read when you were a little girl. Did Ah-ma tell you cannot?
Me: Eehhh (thinking fast : Its wrong if I say Ah-ma did not tell me, but if I say yes, Mummy did not listen to Ah ma when she was young (which contradicted my ranting earlier in the day. How??)...
In the end, I muttered : "Mummy's eyes are spolit because I laid down to watch TV." Luckily, he did not question me further. I better remember what I tell him cos he has a very good memory (he can even tell me events that happened or what I said when he was young!!)

"Vain" Sadiq

It is known to the family that Sadiq can be quite vain. Since he was young, he likes to wear nice clothes & refuses to wear old "hand-me-downs". But I only realised the extent of his vanity recently. We had planned for a night stay at Rasa Sentosa last Friday so on Thurs night, I told the boys to pack their own bag. Sadiq also has to bring 2 diapers (he still needs them at night). After a while, I saw him looking at all his diapers & choosing the "Winnie The Pooh" pictures!!! He was even choosing designs for his pampers, which was printed at the backside!!! This is one super vain boy!! Dunno where he got this gene from.
