"Loving Kor Kor"

Just want to put this down for Shukri..We are very proud of Shukri..Even though he usually "bullies" Sadiq (ie ask him to take things or keep things).. He does takes care of Sadiq through little actions eg he will hold the brother's hand when they are walking down the stairs or stop the brother at the Zebra crossing. Hope this caring will continue....

There is Hope...

Just for the record, Sadiq has made tremendously improvement in his phonics..he scored 8 out of 10 for most of his phonics tests last Saturday. Naturally, Gulam is VERY VERY happy.

"Sad Remarks" by Shukri

The other day, the boys (including their cousins) made fun of Dominic, their new "idol/playmate", who were going out with his friends. They all starting laughing saying that Dominic is going out to see his girlfriend & kiss girls etc etc. I told them that their turn will come & it will be my turn to laugh at them. Know what Shukri said? >.."But when we are big, you will be in the ground (ie dead)." !!??

Maybe we were too detailed when we explained the meaning of death to Shukri many months ago & it left a deep impression on him..This was our conversation last week:

Me: Shukri, are you excited about going to big boys school?
Shukri: Yes...
Me: Why?
Shukri: I can learn new things..
Me: Why do you like to learn new things?
Shukri: So that I will not die soon.
Me: ??!!
